Small Mixed Media Canvas

I have made a small mixed media canvas. This time some dried flowers from my garden in focus.

A fun project, there was only long drying time for the crackle and the flowers. 

Small, small artstones, not so many for defined texture.

And on the top some wax.

And I have made four male cards without any mediums only little bit ink.

To this denim collectione its perfect to use denimscraps.

And to this I have some linen fabric.

 Here I have sewed a tag in denim.

Thematic Challenge for Mixed Media and Art

Hello!

Katja here, and I couldnt resist the Thematic Challenge for August. Love the vintagelook and all the rustic elements.

In the board there is so many beautiful elements to get inspired from and I have tried to catch some of them.

I alter a small tinbox, painted with gesso and some metallic paints.

Some small microbeads and also embossingpowder to give some texture.

Inside the box, lamp, bookpages, gears and more.

Love the texture that the 3d balls/artstones makes.

Mixed Media ATC cards made from Scraps

Hello!

These cards are made from paperscraps. Yes, papers layering and these comes from my table.

 Have some mini artstones, also used a stencil. To make some texture I have also made texture with glitter.

  Paint with gesso over the glitter and it makes a creative effect.

Have used mist to make colors on them.

 And finally some more glitter and gently drybrush with gesso on the top.

August Challenge for Katja Joulak

Hello all of you!

Katja here, with my inspiration for the Moodboard in August. I have made a Forest Lady.

This lovely moodboard with the inspirational green and the forest theme, really get me started.

So me I went to the forest and pick up some branches.  I glued them on to a flat piece of wood.

Painted with brown and green acrylic paint, little here and there.

Some cheesecloth with a mix a green mist, artstones and beads.

Some extra shine with wax to get the face and some details to pop up more.

Monsterstamps

I have some new stamps. They are from Stamper Anonymous. Monsterstamps- and it was fun to create, this time little bit more clean and not so much mixedmedia.

Tried to make them in different sizes and also with different colors.

The background is made with Nellie Snellen small plate, that I have used ink on.

Sea Tag

I have get inspiration from my own shadowbox, that I have made for Mixed Media and Art. The Thematich Challenge made inspiration. The blue Sea and Stars really gave me lot of inspiration.

The tag has lot of glitter, beads and some texture.

Also some shells and there is also some molds.

Challenge week one

Aall and create is having an international challenge ITAC17.

And this is my entry for week one.

Some criterias for the challenge:

• A face
• Papers (newspaper, printed paper, rice paper…etc.)
• Letters, numbers
• Blue for the colour of the European Union, Union Jack...
• Ribbon, twine, string or lace…
• Textures – take inspiration from history from ancient civilisations to the fall of the Berlin Wall
• Something both vintage and modern

I have tried to the use all the criterias.
I have rolled up a old newspaper from 1916. The texture is white cracklepaste and broken moldpieces. And the modern and new is all the glitter and the woodpieces and work is sprayed with touch of gold.

A really fun challenge and looking forward to the next.
